Conditions of Selling Animals

QUESTION:

Can one sell an animal based on its body condition and quality, and not on its weight? For example, some animals are purchased according to size i.e. small, medium, large, or, according to category i.e. lambs, old ewes, fat sheep etc.

ANSWER:

A sheep, goat or cattle etc., is generally purchased for its meat. Since it is bought for its meat, the weight of the animal will have to be considered, as it will be regarded from such commodities which are weighed.
