Taking pictures of animate objects excluding the eyes

Question:-

I want to know whether taking pictures of animate objects without the eyes is permitted, such as taking a picture from the back of a child?

Answer:-

Taking a picture of one whose appearance (such as the entire face and head) is not visible (at all) will be permitted.  Hence, if the picture of only the back is taken (without the head), then it will be acceptable. However, in this case too, one should refrain from taking such pictures, particularly if there isn’t a need to do so.

ایسی تصاویر جن میں شکل وصورت نظر نہیں   ٓاتی، لگانا ممنوع نہیں ہے  (جواہر الفقہ ص۲۳۴ ج۳)

(أو مقطوعة الرأس) أي ممحوة الرأس بخيط يخيطه عليه حتى لا يبقى للرأس أثر أو يطليه بمغرة أو نحوه أو ينحته فبعد ذلك لا يكره؛ لأنها لا تعبد بدون الرأس عادة (تبيين الحقائق ص415 ج1)

Now, coming to your query, by taking a picture of a child from the rear, the head of the child is clearly visible generally, hence, in such a case, it will not be permissible to take the picture.

اگر تصویر  میں صورت اور اعضاء صاف  نظر  آتے ہو تو ان کا  لگانا  جائز نہیں ہے (جواہر الفقہ ص۲۲۹ ج۳)
