Being afflicted by the evil-eye

Question:-

How will I know if I am affected with the evil-eye?

Answer:-

It is difficult for an ordinary person to know whether he/she is affected with the evil-eye or not. There isn’t any specific sign which indicates that one is affected by the evil-eye. However, the genuine Aamils are generally experienced in this field and sometimes able to tell whether one is affected by the evil-eye. Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam is reported to have said, “The eye is a reality.”

By reciting the Manzil daily there is great hope that one will be protected from the evil-eye. Also, it is permissible to utilize other ways of removing Nazr as long as words of Shirk are not uttered, nor any impermissible methods used. Some people recite verses of Quraan Sharif and burn chillies in order to remove Nazr. This method has been approved by the Ulama. [Re:- Shaami Pg.364 Vol.6]
