Beliefs of the Shias that render them as disbelievers

Question:-

What is the fundamental difference between the Sunnis and Shias? Are they considered as Muslims?

There are many people in our locality preaching the Shia Doctrine with so-called “supporting evidence” proving their views.

On what point do the Shias fundementally differ from the rightly-guided path of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa’ah?

It is a matter of great concern because our youth are being misled by these people.

Answer:-

The Shias that falsely accuse our mother, Hadrat Aisha Radiallahu Anha of Zinah (Allah forbid!) or, reject the Sahaabiyyat (companionship) of Hadrat Abu Bakr Radiallahu Anhu, or believe that Ali Radiallahu Anhu is Ilaah (Allah), or Ali Radiallahu Anhu is the final Nabi of Allah, or Jibraeel Alaihis Salaam made an error in bringing Wahi, or believe in Tahreef of the Quraan Sharif, or all the Sahaaba are Kuffar with the exception of four etc. are all Kuffar. They are out of the fold of Islam and will be treated like the Murtaddeen (apostates). Similarly, the Ithna-Ashariyya sect of the Shias are also out of the fold of Islam.

However, the Shias that believe that Ali Radiallahu is superior to all the Sahaabah (without having any other beliefs of Kufr) will not be out of the fold of Islam.

Notwithstanding the above, the Shias conceal their beliefs hence, they should never be trusted in their matters.

نَعَمْ لَا شَكَّ فِي تَكْفِيرِ مَنْ قَذَفَ السَّيِّدَةَ عَائِشَةَ – رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهَا – أَوْ أَنْكَرَ صُحْبَةَ الصِّدِّيقِ، أَوْ اعْتَقَدَ الْأُلُوهِيَّةَ فِي عَلِيٍّ أَوْ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ غَلِطَ فِي الْوَحْيِ، أَوْ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ الْكُفْرِ الصَّرِيحِ الْمُخَالِفِ لِلْقُرْآنِ، وَلَكِنْ لَوْ تَابَ تُقْبَلُ تَوْبَتُهُ (رد المحتار ص237 ج4)
