Blood remaining in slaughtered animal

Question:-

I had a tray of frozen, raw, unstunned steak wrapped inside my jacket. However, after the ice melted, the blood started to mess my jacket. Is my jacket impure (Napaak). And if it is, how should I wash it?

Answer:-

The Kitaabs of Fiqh state that the blood that remains on the meat and in the veins of the animal after slaughtering is not Najis. Yes, the flowing blood is considered as impure but not the blood that remains in the meat and veins. The blood that leaked onto your jacket was the remaining blood which flowed as a result of the melted ice, hence it will not be impure.

من نجس مغلظ كالدم – السائل الا دم الشهيد في حقه وانما قيدنا بالسائل لان ما بقي منه في اللحم والعروق ليس بنجس (مجمع الانهر ص62)
