Dr Haifa Younis

Question:-

In view of the fact that we are having foreign speakers doing their “rounds” in SA, kindly advise if the Shaikhah Dr Haifah who was here very recently, also brought by an organisation, is satisfactory? Can people listen to her? I’m not sure if she was here with a Mahram. I stand to be corrected but I think her programmes were for ladies only. But, if she was here without a Mahram, what is the stand on this please?

Answer:-

Dr Haifaa Younis is a professional who studied Islam under various American scholars in the United States, and then moved over to Saudi Arabia where she graduated from the Makkah Institute of Islamic Studies and Al-Huda Quraan Memorization School, which are based in Jeddah and run by Salafis.

This is yet another modernist who doesn’t observe Shari’ee Purdah, with her pictures all over the internet. We, too, are unaware of whether she travels on her own to conduct programmes, or whether she is accompanied by a Mahram. However, she openly lectures in the Masajid with females and males in her presence. She drives females out of their homes, taking them on tours (such as the Kruger Park) in the name of connecting them to Allah Ta’ala. When she is under the curse of Allah Ta’ala and distant from the mercy of Allah Ta’ala, then how will she connect others to Allah Ta’ala? It is Haraam to attend any of her discourses.
