Question:- A supplier tells an employee of a company, “If you purchase goods for your company from me, then I will give you a certain amount in commission.” Is it permissible for the employee of the company to take the commission?
Answer:- In the name of commission, the price of the goods is considered (meaning that, the price of the goods is generally inflated to cover the commission) which is the right of the company. It is, therefore, not permissible for the employee to take the funds. It is Waajib upon the employee to return the funds to the company where he is employed.
