Imaan of LGBTQ+ supporters
Question:-
We are group of friends. We require guidance on LGBTQ+.
An increasing number of fellow Muslims are being influenced by the “LGBTQ+ community”. They are coming out in support of LGBTQ+. They are sporting the colours of the LGBTQ+ community.
We turn to you, the flag bearers of Islam, for guidance.
Kindly brief us on the status of the Imaan of those who are coming out in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
1) Do they remain Muslim?
2) Are we allowed to associate with them?
3) Are we allowed to give our daughters in marriage to males coming out in support of the LGBTQ+ community?
4) How should they be treated in the Masjid?
5) Are we allowed to permit our sons to marry their daughters?

Any person that regards the act of homosexuality as permissible, loses his Imaan immediately. Hence, those Muslims that support LGBTQ+ as they consider the act of homosexuality permissible for Muslims to engage in, lose their Imaan.
ومن فعل ذلك مستحلا ارتد، ووجب قتله بالردة تارة رجما، وتارة غير رجم. كما يجوز أن يمثل بالمرتد (التجريد للقدوري مسئلة 1417)

A Muslim is not permitted to maintain any relationship with a Murtad. [Fataawa Mahmoodiyyah Page 585 Vol.2 – Farooqiyyah]

A Murtad loses his Imaam due to his apostasy. If he passes away without repenting and renewing his Imaan, then he becomes worthy of the fire of Jahannam. [Fataawa Mahmoodiyyah Page 585 Vol.2 – Farooqiyyah] In fact, a Murtad is merely thrown into a hole or pit on his passing away. He is not even given a proper Ghusl and Kafn like the Muslimeen. In conclusion, it is not permissible to give one’s daughter in marriage to a Murtad.
أما المرتد فيلقى في حفرة كالكلب (الدر المحتار ص230 ج2)

They shouldn’t be attending the congregational Salaah in the Masjid until they renew their Imaan.

If their daughters are true believing women that do not approve of homosexuality, then there is no harm in allowing our sons to marry them. They cannot be held responsible for the actions of their parents.
