QUESTION:
At the start of the Madrasah year, before classes officially commence, many students go to their class to place their desks. Some students are from foreign countries and cannot place the desk themselves, so instead they get some local students to place it for them. Are we allowed to arrange the desks and put a desk for ourselves in the place where their desks have been placed, as they were not arranged by them?
ANSWER:
This is not a Fiqhi related question rather an administration matter. If it is leading to quarrels and disputes in class, then the administration of the Madrasah should set some rules to resolve the matter. It is best that the students who arrive early place their desks in the space that is available and students that arrive later place their desks wherever space is available. This will be one way of resolving the matter.
