A cow is being sold for R15 000.00. Five individuals buy the entire cow and each one contributes R3000.00 each. Each person will fulfill his Waajib Qurbani, which is a total of 5 shares. We still have 2 shares remaining. Can all the partners make an intention of all the Marhoomeen in the one share, and the intention of Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam in the remaining share?

We understand from your query that a cow is being sold for R15 000.00. There are a total of seven shares in a cow, hence, each share is valued at R2142.85. Five people will be purchasing one share each for their personal Qurbani. Thereafter, they will contribute R857.15 each to jointly purchase two more shares. The one share will be for all the Marhoomeen whilst the other share will be for Rasulullah Salallahu Alahi Wasallam. The above arrangement is perfectly in order.
