Males Removing Hair

QUESTION:

Is it permissible for males to remove hair growing on the arm and lower hand, as well as hair growing on the back?

ANSWER:

It is against Adab (etiquette) for a male to remove hair from his body such as the hands, legs, chest and back. However, if it grows very long, then it may be shortened, but not completely removed.

وَفِي حَلْقِ شَعْرِ الصَّدْرِ وَالظَّهْرِ تَرْكُ الْأَدَبِ كَذَا فِي الْقُنْيَةِ اهـ ط
