Method of reverting to Islam
Question:-
What are the compulsory or necessary steps for a non-Muslim to accept, or convert, to Islam? Please explain in detail?
Answer:-
The Mustahab method of reverting one to Islam is that he/she should be made to take Ghusl. Thereafter, one is required to testify and believe in only One Allah Ta’ala as His deity, and in the Risaalat of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam as the last and final Rasul of Allah Ta’ala. This is done by reciting the Kalimah-e-Shaadah and acknowledging its meaning. Together with this, one is required to renounce all the other religions and beliefs contrary to Islam, and briefly believing in everything that Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam brought. By doing this, one enters the fold of Islam.[i]
