Darul Ifta Ibn Masood was founded by Mufti Mohamed Desai Saheb (Rahimahullah) who was a graduate of Darul Uloom Azaadville.
He served in the field of Ifta for over ten years under the guidance of the senior Mufti of Azaadville, Mufti Muhammad Saeed Motara Saheb (Damat Barakatuhu).
He had also spent many years in the company of Moulana Abdul Hamid Ishaq Saheb (Damat Barakatuhu), Principal of Darul Uloom Azaadville and Khalifah of Hakim Akhtar Saheb (Rahimahullah).
After the sudden demise of Mufti Mohamed Desai Saheb (Rahimahullah) on the 6th of Rabi ul Awwal 1446 (10th September 2024), the Darul Ifta had been temporarily closed.
Alhamdulillah with the grace of Almighty Allah, on the 10th of Shawwal 1446 (9 April 2025), the Darul Ifta had recommenced under the auspices of Mufti Yacoob Vally Saheb (Damat Barakatuhu), who was also an Ustaad of Mufti Mohamed Desai Saheb (Rahimahullah).
May Allah Ta’ala accept Darul iftaa Ibn Mas’ood as a sadaqa jaariyah for Mufti Muhammad Sahib رحمه الله.
Aameen.
