Photography Of Animate Objects
QUESTION:
Regarding photography of animate objects, would it be acceptable to take a picture from behind the animal in such a way where the head is obscured, or does the head need to be completely detached?
ANSWER:
From the outset, taking a picture of any animate object and then blocking or cropping the head is incorrect since taking the picture of the entire animate object in the first instance resulted in transgression. Yes, if one takes a picture of an animate object without the head from the front or the rear, then it will be permissible.
