Publishers And Translations Of Quraan Sharif

QUESTION:

I was gifted a Quraan Sharif with English translation which has been published in Malaysia by Karya Bestari. Please comment on its authenticity.

ANSWER:

We are not aware of the publishers and the translators of the aforementioned Quraan. Precaution demands that you should rather use the translation of an Aalim who’s known and follows the Sunnah. Muhammad bin Sireen Rahimahullah mentioned:

إن هذا العلم دين، فانظروا عمن تأخذون دينكم

“Indeed, knowledge is an integral part of Deen, therefore be careful whom you take your religious guidance from.”
