Qurbani in a country where Eid has not yet commenced

QUESTION:

Eidul Adha is on Wednesday in India, and on Thursday in South Africa. If a person from India requests a person from South Africa to make Qurbani on his behalf, and the person in South Africa slaughters on Wednesday, will it be correct to do so?

ANSWER:-

The Qurbani will not be valid as it is not yet the day of Eid at the place of slaughtering. It is necessary that the time of Qurbani has commenced in the country of the Wakeel, and the Muwakkil. [Re:- Kitaabun Nawaazil Pg.556 Vol.14]

ان الرجل إذا كان في مصر اخر واهله في مصر اخر فكتب إليهم ليضحوا عنه فانه يعتبر مكان التضحية (الفتاوي الهندية ج٥ ص٢٩٦)
