QUESTION:
What is the ruling regarding lifting your head up from Sajdah before you complete the third Tasbeeh?
ANSWER:
The act of reciting the Tasbeehaat of Ruku or Sajdah less than thrice, is Makrooh. Reciting the Tasbeehaat thrice is the minimal to attain perfection, hence reciting any less than thrice is Makrooh. However, the Salaah will be valid.
وروي عن محمد أنه إذا سبح مرة واحدة يكره؛ لأن الحديث جعل الثلاث أدنى التمام فما دونه يكون ناقصا فيكره ولو زاد على الثلاث فهو أفضل (بدائع الصنائع ص208 ج1)
