Sajdah Of Males

QUESTION:

What is the ruling of a man spreading his elbows out in Sajdah in both the congregational and individual Salaah?

ANSWER:

A man should spread his elbows to his right and left, thus, exposing the sides of his body whilst performing the Sajdah in Salaah individually. However, a man should not spread his elbows out whilst performing Sajdah in a congregational Salaah, as it causes inconvenience to others in Salaah.
