Question:-
I sell items from home, and recently someone brought to my attention that it is not advisable to sell items that are multi-coloured, as it is a representation of the LGBTQ community and their flag. My question is, is it permissible to sell multi-coloured items as my intention is definitely not to support this movement ?
Answer:-
In principle, there is no problem in selling multi-coloured items. However, it is advisable to refrain from selling items that comprise of the LGBTQ colours in particular, as by selling such items, it seems as though one is supporting their movement. We do understand that this may not be your intention but it could create a misunderstanding amongst the masses. We, therefore, advise caution in the matter.
Your sustenance has already been destined and you will receive whatever has been written for you, hence, you shouldn’t fear that your turnover will decrease if you stop selling products comprising of the LGBTQ colours. Allah Ta’ala will grant you better products in place of them and you will acquire greater profits Insha’Allah.
