The Islaah of Females
Q1. Can a person make Islaah by one’s self, without having a Sheikh?
It is possible that a person can make Islaah by themselves. However, it is better to make your Islaah with the guidance of a Sheikh.
Q2. Being a woman, how would I communicate with the Sheikh?
A woman will communicate with her Sheikh through her Mahram, or via email. There should not be any direct communication between the woman and the Sheikh.
Q3. What are the consequences of consulting with one’s Sheikh but not complying to his advice?
If a person does not act upon the guidance of the Sheikh, then they are only harming themselves.
أَلاَ وَإِنَّ فِي الْجَسَدِ مُضْغَةً إِذَا صَلَحَتْ صَلَحَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ، وَإِذَا فَسَدَتْ فَسَدَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ. أَلاَ وَهِيَ الْقَلْبُ

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ, عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ, لاَ يَخْلُوَنَّ رَجُلٌ بِامْرَأَةٍ إِلاَّ مَعَ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ
