Video-calling
Question:-
Knowing that photography is Haraam, what is the ruling on video calls? Nowadays, many people use this as a means of communication. Is it permissible to use video calls since the image of the opposite party appears on the screen?
Answer:-
Video calling, skype etc. where the images of the speakers are visible on the screen to the opposite party, is Haraam. One should therefore refrain from communicating via video call, or any similar means of communication.
