Question:-
Do impure clothes become clean (Paak) in an automatic washing machine if the machine takes in water thrice, and expels it thrice?
Answer:-
Generally, clean water which is mixed with washing powder enters the washing machine. The clothes are washed and the water is then drained out of the clothing and the machine. Thereafter, fresh water enters the machine and the same procedure repeats itself. This procedure repeats itself more than thrice hence, the impure clothing will be washed and rinsed more than three times resulting in them becoming clean.
ثوب نجس غسل في ثلاث جفان أو في واحدة ثلاثا وعصر في كل مرة طهر لجريان العادة بالغسل. هكذا فلو لم يطهر لضاق على الناس (الفتاوي الهندية ص42 ج1)
أما لو غسل في غدير أو صب عليه ماء كثير، أو جرى عليه الماء طهر مطلقا بلا شرط عصر وتجفيف وتكرار غمس هو المختار (در مختار ص333 ج1)
