Specks of blood found in eggs
Question:-
I wanted to find out if the red spots found in eggs, are Haraam?
I previously heard that it is not permissible to consume, so I’ve been removing it, but sometimes it becomes very difficult to remove it and the egg ends up wasted.
If it is Haraam, what would happen if an egg has many tiny red spots which cannot be removed? If the egg is cooked and those spots disappear, then will it be okay to eat that egg?
Answer:-
The red spots found in eggs are not Haraam, as it is not flowing blood. Yes, if an entire egg turns to blood then it will not be permissible to consume. [Re:- Darul Ifta Azaadville archives] Hence, if there are just one or two spots of blood, then there is no problem with eating the egg, but if a major portion of the egg is full of blood spots, then it shouldn’t be consumed.
