Selling a dog collar

QUESTION:

I recently purchased a dog collar which I intended to use on my cat. Since the collar did not fit, and cannot be returned, I’d like to know if it will be permissible for me to resell the collar, and advertise it according to its actual use, which is a collar for dogs?

ANSWER:

There is no problem in selling a dog collar. It may be advertised as a dog collar as well.
