Hijrah For The Purpose Of Deeni Upbringing

QUESTION:

I am mother of 5 children aged between 19 and 5 years old. We live in the USA. We have been considering moving to another country with a strong Deeni influence. We face different challenges in wanting to relocate, with regards to finance and extended family, amongst other concerns. We heard mention of like-minded Ulama in Egypt and would consider moving there, along with considering South Africa as well. Please advise us on how to go about making this decision.

ANSWER:

Firstly, may Allah Ta’ala reward you for such concern and worry regarding the upbringing 9 your children in the correct Islamic way, Aameen!

We cannot remember broadcasting any such post encouraging making Hijrah to Egypt. The environment in Egypt is also not very Islam-friendly.

Our advice to you is instead of making Hijrah to another country due to huge financial factors involved, you should rather look at relocating within the country wherein you reside, where there is a good Deeni environment with a Masjid and Madrassah nearby. Insha’Allah, when Allah Ta’ala will give you the financial means, then you may opt to move to a country which has a better Islamic environment. Alhamdulillah, Allah Ta’ala has blessed South Africa with many Darul Ulooms and senior and upright Ulama which may be a better option to make Hijrah to, at a later stage.

Furthermore, commence daily Ta’leem of Fadhaail-e-A’amaal in your house, and the entire family should collectively engage in Zikr and Dua for few minutes daily. Also, if there is a television in the home, then you should discard it, as it is an instrument that will destroy your children’s future and will create an un-Islamic mindset.

Lastly, make fervent Dua to Allah Ta’ala that He opens a way for you to relocate to such a place which is Deeni inclined and beneficial for you and your children. We have attached a non-animate video expounding on how Ta’leem is a great source of blessings in making Tarbiyah of our children.
