Is it permissible to do art with alcohol ink (such as backgrounds for calligraphy)?
ANSWER:
Alcohol ink seems to be manufactured from isopropyl alcohol. If alcohol-free ink is available, then such an ink should be utilized. In the absence of alcohol-free ink, one may use the ink containing isopropyl alcohol. [Re:- Kitaab un Nawaazil Pg. 203 Vol.24 / Kitaabun Nawaazil Pg.152 Vol.16]
