QUESTION:
What is the state of a person who visits a Sangoma or a Hindu priest for the treatment of black magic ?
ANSWER:
It is recorded in Saheeh Muslim that whoever goes to a magician (whether Hindu or otherwise) and testifies to what he says, then there is no doubt that he has disbelieved in the Almighty Allah. And if one comes and goes to him without testifying to him, then it is a major sin from amongst the major sins. And if one goes to him and does not testify to what he says, then Allah will not accept his Salaah for 40 days. In conclusion, if one visits a magician with the belief that he can benefit or harm, then he will lose his Imaan.
It is recorded in the Kitaabs of Fatwa that it is Haraam to seek treatment from non-Muslims such as the Hindus, who carry out actions through their deities. [Kitaabun Nawaazil Pg.293 Vol.16]
ومن أجزاء هذا التوحيد أن اعتقاد صدق المنجمين والكهان مناف لهذا التوحيد، وهو كفر، فمن ذهب إلى الساحر وصدقه أو إلى الكاهن وصدقه فلا شك أنه يكفر بالله العظيم، وإتيانهم والذهاب إليهم مع عدم تصديقهم كبيرة من الكبائر، فمن ذهب إليهم ولم يصدقهم لم يقبل الله تعالى منه صلاة أربعين يوماً. ( شرح صحيح مسلم ص10 ج72 – الايمان بالغيب من اجزاء توحيد الالوهية)
ما حكم من ذهب لساحر للعلاج؟ وماذا نفعل معه إذا علمنا بذلك؟
من ذهب إلى الساحر لا يخلو إما أن يصدقه أو لا، فإن لم يصدقه لم تقبل له صلاة أربعين يوماً، وإن صدقه فقد كفر بما أنزل على محمد، فالأمر خطير جد خطير، المسألة شرك، ما هي المسألة معصية من المعاصي تحت المشيئة، لا {إِنَّ اللهَ لاَ يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِ} [(48) سورة النساء] فمن ذهب إلى الساحر علمنا أن أمره دائر بين أمرين: إما أن يصدق أو لا يصدق؟ ولا شك أن الذهاب إلى السحرة للعلاج، وإفتاؤهم بالجواز إقرار للشرك، وتشريع لعمل السحرة (شرح المحرر في الحديث ص2 ج7)
