Bearing the heat of Makkah Mukarramah

QUESTION:

Is there any virtue mentioned for one who bears the heat of Makkah Mukarramah?

ANSWER:

It is recorded in a narration of Kanz-ul-Ummaal:

من صبر على حر مكة ساعة من نهار تباعد منه جهنم مسيرة مائتي عام وتقربت منه الجنة مسيرة مائتي عام ،عن أبي هريرة وفيه عبد الرحيم بن زيد العمى متروك عن أبيه وليس بالقوي”. (كنز العمال ج١٢ ص٢١٠)

Whoever is patient upon the heat of Makkah for an hour of the day, Jahannam will be distanced from him by a distance of two hundred years and Jannah will be brought closer to him by a distance of two hundred years.

The narration is classified as a weak narration.
