Acceptance of Duaas after certain actions
QUESTION:
Our Ustaadh once mentioned that reading Qudoori, Sahih Bukhari, and other such Kitaabs once, one’s Dua will be accepted. Please advise which other Kitaabs fall in this category?
ANSWER:
- Duas are accepted at the time of completion (Khatm) of the Quraan Sharif. Hadrat Anas Radiallahu Anhu used to gather his family at the time of Khatm-ul-Quraan and make Dua.
- It is recorded about the Kitaab Shaatbiyyah, that the author, after writing the Kitaab, made 12 000 Tawaaf of Baitullah. He then made Dua, “O Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the visible, the Rabb of this great house, benefit every reciter through this Kitaab,” hence every person that reads it will benefit, as it was written purely for his pleasure. [Haalaat-e-Musannifeen Dars-e-Nizaami Pg. 56]
- According to Ibn Katheer Rahimahullah the recitation of Bukhari Sharif removes difficulties, calamities, fear, enemies, illnesses, etc. One Muhaddith read Bukhari Sharif 120 times for different objectives and was successful each time. Hence, Duas are accepted after reciting the entire Bukhari Sharif. [Haalaat-e-Musannifeen Dars-e-Nizaami Pg. 90]
- Imaam Bukhari Rahimahullah recorded in his Adab, Imaam Ahmad and Bazza narrated from Hadrat Jaabir Radiallahu Anhu that Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam made Dua for three days in Masjid-e-Fath, that is on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The Dua was accepted on Wednesday between Zuhr and Asr. Hadrat Jaabir Radiallahu Anhu states that, “Whenever an important matter affected me, then I would make Dua on Wednesday between Zuhr and Asr and it would be accepted.” [Tabrani – Extracted from Haalaat-e-Musannifeen Dars-e-Nizaami Pg. 157]
- The author of Misbah Anwaar-ul-Adiya states that whoever memorizes Quduri will be protected from poverty. Whoever studies this Kitaab under some righteous Ustaad and then makes Dua for Barakah at the time of completion, then he will be blessed with Dirhams according to the number of Masaa’il recorded in the Kitaab. There are 12 000 Masaa’il recorded in the Kitaab. [Haalaat-e-Musannifeen Dars-e-Nizaami Pg. 154]
