Ceasing a partnership agreement due to absenteeism
Question:-
If any of the partners in a partnership agreement stops working, whereas the partnership agreement clearly states that he is required to work, and remains absent for a period of 10 years, then will such a partner still be considered as part of the partnership or not? Will his partnership be considered to have terminated?
Answer:-
By merely leaving work and being absent, the partnership doesn’t cease. If the remaining partners are unhappy with him being absent and therefore do not wish to continue with the partnership, then they should end the partnership agreement with him in explicit and clear words.
