QUESTION:
When should circumcision for a newborn child be carried out?
ANSWER:
Some of the scholars have mentioned that it may be carried out after the seventh day. This is dependent on the physical strength of the child. However, the preferred view is that it may be carried between the ages of 7 and 12. In conclusion, if the child is strong enough then it is generally easier to have it done as soon as possible after birth.
