Continuing with prescribed Amals during menstruation
Question:-
If a woman is doing an Amal which needs to be completed during the first 11 days of the month, but she experiences menses by the 6th day, can she continue doing the Amal? The Amal is reciting the Dua of Moosa Alaihis Salaam, followed by Surah Duha. The other Amal is for 40 days which is, Alam Nashrah and Surah Duha. If not, how does she go about completing these Amals?
Answer:-
It will not be permissible for a female in the state of Haidh to recite Quraan Sharif hence, one should stop the Amal during menses and continue after the menstrual cycle is over from where she stopped. Allah Ta’ala is fully aware of one’s condition and will make it effective Insha’Allah, even if she continues from where she had stopped. Afterall, the effect and benefit of the Amal is from Allah Ta’ala. Yes, reciting less than a verse as Dua and not Tilaawat, is acceptable according to the jurists, but reciting an entire Surah will fall into the category of Tilaawat.
