Covid vaccines

Question:-

The FDA have now approved of the covid vaccines stating that it is safe to utilize. Will it now be permissible for us Muslims to administer the vaccination?

Answer:-

FDA approved simply means that the approved vaccine is safe to utilize as it meets the high standards of safety, effectiveness and manufacturing quality. Although it has been approved by the FDA, many individuals (which include health workers, doctors and people in general) lost their lives after being vaccinated. A Californian health worker amongst many others suffered a heart attack after being vaccinated. Similarly, others were adversely affected by the vaccination.

Coming to your question, although the FDA has approved of the vaccine and declared it to be safe, the reality seems otherwise. It is for this reason that some articles on the internet now state, “The death rate for vaccinated people is not higher than that of unvaccinated people.” This statement, or rather headline, of this article clearly indicates that the vaccination is not 100% safe as propagated by the various institutes that assure consumers of their credibility and reliability.

Also, the ingredients of the vaccine is not fully known to us, hence the Halaal suitability of the vaccine is also an issue of concern. We therefore maintain our reservation in the matter, that is, one should refrain from being vaccinated as far as possible. Yes, if there is a severe necessity, whereby one will not be able to fulfill his daily chores such as conducting business, particularly when one is required to travel abroad and interact with merchants, or one will not be able to perform an obligation of Deen such as performing his Fardh Hajj, then one is at liberty of being vaccinated.
