Question:-
My aunty is married to a man from those who subscribe to the beliefs of the Muraabitoon sect. Is it permissible to give my Zakaat to him?
Answer:-
We are not fully aware of the beliefs of the Muraabitoon. The maximum information that we were able to gather with regards to them is that, this is an Islamic movement founded by Abdul Qadir As-Sufi with communities in several countries. Their intention was to unite the people of North Africa, from the Nile, to the Atlantic. Since their fundamental beliefs are unknown to us, we suggest that you discharge your Zakaat to proper recipients of Zakaat who hold correct Aqeedah and beliefs according to the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa’ah.
