Durood Tunjina

QUESTION:

Does the above Amal have to be carried out after Fajr only, or can it be done at anytime of the day or night?

ANSWER:

Firstly, it is important to note that this particular Durood with the virtue cited is not established from the Ahaadith, rather, it is an experience of a pious person.

Coming to the queried scenario, it will be best if you can practice upon this Wazifah after Fajr. If you can’t, then you may recite it any other time.

See below for another incident regarding the same Durood:

Moosa Zareer was a great, saintly personality. He once related an incident regarding his personal experience. He says:

I was once travelling on a boat which was about to sink. At that crucial moment I was overcome with slumber. In a vision, I saw Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam who taught me the following Durood (Durood Tunjina) and instructed me to tell all the passengers of that boat to recite the Durood one thousand times. The passengers began reciting the Durood and had not yet reached three hundred times, when the condition normalised and the boat was saved. This was all through the barakah of the Durood that Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam had taught me. (The Gift of Durood and Salaam Pg. 123)
