Forgiving Others

Jun 22, 2026 | Character And Mannerism

QUESTION:

With regards to forgiveness of a fellow Muslim, does it extend to people who have harmed you physically, emotionally or sexually who aren’t family? Should you also forgive them?

ANSWER:

A person should forgive one and all. Allah Ta’ala states in the Quraan Shareef:

“Let them pardon and forgive. Do you not love to be forgiven by Allah? And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

ALLAH TA’ALA ALONE IN HIS INFINITE KNOWLEDGE KNOWS BEST!
