Ganj-ul-Arsh

Question:-

1. Are we permitted to recite Ganj-ul-Arsh?

2. Are we permitted to recite the following Durood;

اللهم صل علي سيدنا محمد ما اختلف الملوان وتعاقب العصران وكرر الجديدان واستقبل الفرقدان وبلغ روحه وارواح اهل بيته منا التحية والسلام وبارك وسلم عليه كثيرا

Answer:-

1. The narrations pertaining to Ganj-ul-Arsh are fabricated. None of the reliable and famous commentators of Hadith have accepted it. Hence, it is incorrect for a person to recite it considering the virtues and merits attached to it as authentic. We therefore advise that one should recite the Quraan Sharif or Duas mentioned in the Hadith Shareef, or Duas from other authentic Kitaabs such as Hizbul-Aa’zam, Munaajat-e-Maqbool, or Durood Sharif, Istighfaar, the fourth Kalimah, etc. which have been the practice of our elders and is a means of attaining Barakah. 2. With regards to the following Durood,

اللهم صل على سيدنا محمد ما اختلف الملوان وتعاقب العصران وكرر الجديدان واستقبل الفرقدان وبلغ روحه وأرواح اهل بيته منا التحية والسلام وبارك وسلم عليه كثيرا

We haven’t come across this Durood Sharif in any of the authentic books of Hadith. It will therefore be better for one to recite any Durood that is proven from the Ahadith.

ولا شك ان اتباع الأدعية المأثورة اولي وارجي للقبول (تكمله فتح الملهم ج٥ص١٩٥)
