QUESTION:
Please advise on how one can stop the habit of vaping?
ANSWER:
1. Perform two Rakaats of Salaah daily and beg Allah to grant you the ability to give up smoking.
2. Think that the money which Allah Ta’ala has given you is a bounty which many are deprived of. If you value this bounty by using it correctly, then Allah Ta’ala will increase you, and if you abuse it, then it can be taken away from you. Don’t squander your wealth in something harmful.
3. Health is a great Ni’mat. Preserve your health by consuming that which is beneficial and refrain from things that are harmful to the body. You will be questioned about your body (as to how it was used) on the day of Qiyaamah. The Quraan states, “Thereafter, on that day, you will definitely be questioned about the bounties.” [Re:- Surah Takaathur Verse 8, Surah 102] Although, vape traders state that vape is not harmful to the body but research proves otherwise. Cancer is a common illness which is a consequence of smoking.
4. Allah Ta’ala has placed within every human being the ability of doing good and evil. Hence, one can give up smoking within minutes. It is merely a matter of having a firm intention and using one’s ability to do so.
ALLAH TA’ALA ALONE IN HIS INFINITE KNOWLEDGE KNOWS BEST!
