QUESTION:
What could be a possible reason as to why a Dua that is made for protection against a particular sin is not being accepted ,and effort is being made to stop such wrong.
Yet other Duas for one’s needs, desires and protection against some other wrongs etc, could be said that those supplication are accepted and fulfilled by Allah Ta’ala?
ANSWER:
One should think of whether he has hurt someone in the past or usurped the rights of someone because of which he is falling into sin. When the matter is clarified then this too will be sorted Insha’Allah. Also, many people develop pride on their good and righteous actions. Pride is a disastrous disease that will destroy a person as one will be deprived of Jannah. However, when one sins then he remains remorseful and humble which brings him closer to Allah Ta’ala. One should continue repenting, giving Sadaqah and making Dua to Allah Ta’ala.
