When males visit the deceased at the Qabrastaan, the deceased hear the visitor’s Salaam, attain familiarity and respond. This is applicable to martyrs and others.[Re:- Fataawa Mahmoodiyyah Pg.363 Vol.13]When one passes away, then the deceased relatives do come to receive them, and even enquire about others.
The following is recorded in the Kitaab, ‘The Soul’ on page 30, ‘The most convincing evidence regarding meeting the souls of the living and dead persons, is that the living person sees a dead man in a dream and the dead informs him about the things never known to him before. The dead person informs him about the incidents which took place in the past or will take place in the future. Sometimes he talks about the treasure’s unknown to anybody else, or informs about debts which he owes.’
However, we are not aware of them hearing and seeing animals.
