Question:-
I just wanted to know if you can invest on apps linking to the JSE such as “easy equities”, or crypto currency apps etc.?
And if these are not permissible according to Shariah, then are there any other investment opportunities that are Shariah approved?
Answer:-
Our Darul Ifta does not approve of investing in Crypto or investing on the JSE. We therefore do not approve of the usage of the app in question, if it is going to be used for investing. Unfortunately, we do not approve of any other investments where you could invest.
Gold has always been a good investment in the past with possible growth in the future as well, if Allah Ta’ala wills. You should make Istikhaarah in the matter and, if it turns out to be positive, then you may invest in gold.
