Investor Eligible For Zakaah
QUESTION:
A person has an investment of R350 000 with Al Mabroor, who is now under business rescue. He is almost certain he will lose the money, and has approached our Zakaah organization for assistance. How do we proceed in calculating eligibility?
ANSWER:
Due to the uncertainty of the financial position of Al Mabroor, it will be best that Zakaah is not given to such an applicant. You may assist him with Lillah or Sadaqah.
