Maryam Ki Phool

Question:-

Is it permissible to use the “Maryam ki Phool” when a woman is in labour? Is the opening of the flower Jinnat related?

Answer:-

There is no mention of such a flower in the Quraan Sharif and Hadith Sharif. However, if the flower is beneficial in assisting with labour, then there is no harm in using it, with the proviso that one maintains the correct belief that Allah alone is the doer. It is only Allah Ta’ala that can make the delivery easy and relieve the labouring mother of her pain. The flower is just the outward means and in reality, Allah Ta’ala places certain effects in the flower. We are not aware of the opening of the flower being related to Jinn. There are many flowers such as Asiatic lilies that open up in water, and the same is applicable to roses, hence, we assume this too is not related to Jinn.
