Men wearing purple-coloured clothing

Question:-

Is wearing the colour purple, for men, prohibited?

Answer:-

Men are prohibited from wearing clothing that is bright yellow in colour. Similarly, it is Makrooh-e-Tanzeehi for males to wear red clothing. Wearing any other colour is generally acceptable, which includes purple. [Re:- Ahsanul Fataawa Pg.62 Vol.8]

Notwithstanding the above, we should follow the blessed Sunnah of Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam in all matters. White clothing was the most beloved to Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam, hence we should imitate the master Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam in his external appearance by donning the white Kurta and avoid wearing western clothing. If the colour purple represents support for the LGBTQ+ community, then we should refrain from wearing it.
