Performing Ishraaq Salaah on the day of Eid

Question:-

Can a woman perform Ishraaq Salaah on both the Eids?

Answer:-

It is Makrooh to perform any Nafl Salaah at home before the Eid Salaah. Yes, one may perform Nafl Salaah (which includes Ishraaq) at home after the Eid Salaah, as Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam would perform two Rakaats after returning home from the Eidgah. The time of Ishraaq lasts until Zawaal.

“و” يكره التنفل “قبل” صلاة “العيد ولو” تنفل “في المنزل و” كذا “بعده” أي العيد “في المسجد” أي مصلى العيد لا في المنزل في اختيار الجمهور لأنه صلى الله عليه وسلم كان لا يصلي قبل العيد شيئا فإذا رجع إلى منزله صلى ركعتين (مراقي الفلاح ص77 ج1)
