Playing a soccer tournament with a prize for the winner
Question:-
Is it permissible to enter a soccer tournament with an entrance fee and prize money for first place? We will not accept the money (if we are to win). Will this be acceptable?
Answer:-
The tournament in question falls in the category of gambling, hence it will not be permissible to participate even though your team intends not to accept the prize.
