Protection From Black Magic

QUESTION:

After discovering material on hypnosis and enchantment spells left in our house by a family member, we are led to believe that some form of Sihr has been practiced. Since the family member left our home, we have experienced a string of health problems — all the members including me have been hospitalized. Caring for everyone and the repeated hospital visits are overwhelming.

I do believe in black magic, but I do not want to commit Shirk. Please advise what I can do within the parameters of Shari’ah to resolve this problem.

ANSWER:

Recite a portion of the Manzil daily, along with Surah al-Faatiha, Ayatul Kursi, Surah Kaafiroon, Surah Ikhlaas, Surah Falaq, and Surah Naas. After reciting the four Quls, one must blow on himself. You can also seek treatment from a reliable Aamil.
