Purchasing a cow and splitting the shares
QUESTION:-
Is it permissible for one person to purchase a cow and split the shares as follows:
1- 1 share for the Waajib Qurbaani of the purchaser
2 – 1 share for Nabi صلي الله عليه و سلم
3 – 4 shares in total for the four Khulafaa-e-Rashideen
4 – 1 share for the Isaale Thawaab of a Marhoom.
ANSWER:-
Yes, it will be permissible to split the shares in a cow as stipulated by you in the query, i.e. one share for a Waajib Qurbani, a Nafl share for Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam, a Nafl share for each of the Khulafaa-e-Rashideen (which are four shares in total), and a last share as Nafl Qurbani for a Marhoom.
وإن مات أحد السبعة المشتركين في البدنة وقال الورثة اذبحوا عنه وعنكم صح عن الكل استحسانا لقصد القربة من الكل (الدر المختار و حاشية ابن عابدين 6/326)
فينبغي لمن وجد سعة ان يضحي عن حبيبه و نبيه صلى الله عليه و سلم كل عام ولو بشاة او بسبع بقرة و نحوه
