Qasr in previous Watn-e-Asli
QUESTION:-
I have been living in the Middle East with my family for the last ten years. We will be visiting our family in Pakistan for ten days. We don’t own any home there and will be staying with our parents. Should we offer Qasr Salah, or full Salah?
ANSWER:-
It seems from your query that Pakistan is no longer your permanent residence, and the Middle East has become your permanent residence, which is referred to as ‘Watn-e-Iqaamah’ in the Kitaabs of Fiqh. You simply travel to Pakistan to visit your parents and family. If this is the case, then you should make Qasr in Pakistan, since you will be staying there for a period of 10 days only.
