Quraan Sharif with animated pictures
Question:-
There is a new Quraan in circulation containing pictures of animate objects. It is used by little children that are learning to recite the Quraan Sharif at primary level. What is the Fatwa in regards to utilizing such a Quraan?
Answer:
The impermissibility of picture making is well known to one and all. The worst of punishment has been promised for those involved in picture making on the Day of Qiyaamah. What can then be said with regards to attaching pictures of animate objects to the Quraan Sharif, which is far worse!
This, once again, seems to be a plot of the Kuffar and disbelievers to remove the sanctity and sacredness of the Quraan Sharif from the hearts of the believers. The adults are fully aware of the status of the Quraan Sharif and will therefore not tolerate any level of disrespect being shown to the Quraan Sharif. They have therefore decided to target the children who will then grow up with the mindset that the Quraan Sharif is nothing more than a comic book or cartoon, as is clearly visible from the pictures. When respect of the Quraan Sharif is lost, then the Muslims will be left without any guide in life, which will ultimately lead to their destruction.
In conclusion, the pictures attached to the Quraan Sharif are totally impermissible. It is a mockery of Deen and a plot to destroy Islam.
This Quraan Sharif with pictures should not be propagated at all. The Ummah should be made aware of the impermissibility of such a Quraan to the extent that not a single copy remains in the hands of the Muslims. All the Maktabs in the country should ensure that the children as well as their parents are educated in regards to the impermissibility of such a Quraan. This should be discussed from the Jumuah platforms, and posters attached to Masajid notice boards, and this information should also be propagated via social media.
